Jagadguru Kripalu Yog release an inspiring book on the Bhagavad Gita, Available on Amazon.

Radhey Radhey,

Jagadguru Kripalu Yog have released a prodigious book on the Bhagvad Gita. The Author is Swami Mukundananda who is a renowned spiritual teacher from India, and is the senior disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj. He is the founder of the Yogic system called “Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog”, widely known as JKYog. Swamiji is a unique sanyasi (in the renounced order of life), who has a distinguished technical and management educational background that complements his profound spiritual knowledge.

Bhagavad Gita - The Song of God [Kindle Edition]

The Bhagavad Gita is widely revered as one of the greatest jewels of spiritual wisdom in the history of humankind. It is also known as Gitopanishad, or the Gita Upanishad, as it encapsulates most of the important aspects of the knowledge of the Vedas. Bhagavad means "of God" and Gita means "song." Hence, the Bhagavad Gita literally means "Song of God." It describes the divine dialogue that took place between the Supreme Lord Shree Krishna and his devotee Arjun on the battle ground. Since its teachings are exceedingly profound, the Bhagavad Gita required an equally insurmountable crisis as its setting. This was the impending war of Mahabharat that threatened to engulf the whole of India at that time. Unable to deal with the immediate problem at hand, Arjun approached Shree Krishna for a palliative to overcome the anguish he was experiencing. Shree Krishna did not just advise him on his immediate problem, but digressed to give a profound discourse on the philosophy of life. Hence, the Bhagavad Gita imparts, above everything else, Brahma Vidya, the science of God-realization. However, it is not content with providing a lofty philosophical understanding; it describes clear-cut techniques for implementing its spiritual precepts for everyday life. These techniques of applying the science of spirituality in our lives are termed "Yog." The Bhagavad Gita is also called "Yog Shastra," meaning, the scripture that teaches the practice of Yog. Thus, all its eighteen chapters are designated as different types of Yog because they deal with methodologies for the application of spiritual knowledge to practical life.

In this authoritative commentary, Swami Mukundananda reveals the original meanings of the verses with crystal clear explanations and perfect logic. Adopting a comprehensive approach, he intersperses his purports with illustrative stories and real-life examples to make the teachings easy to comprehend and implement in everyday living.

This book is available as an eBook from Amazon (link posted below), so that you are able to view it from any device using the Amazon app.

Dussehra and Sharad Purnima celebrations on Saturday 19th October.

Radhey Radhey,
This year we will be celebrating both Dussehra and Sharad Purnima (91st Birthday of our beloved Shri Maharajji) on Saturday 19th October 2013 from 11am- 5pm. The hosts Mr and Mrs Poudyal & family invite everyone to join us on this special day.

Dussehra is the day that marks the triumph of Lord Ram over the demon king, Ravan. It signifies the victory of good over evil. On this day, as a community celebration, huge effigies of Ravan and his brother Kumbhkaran are burnt on an open ground or in a park. Huge crowds cheer wildly as the effigies burn. The celebration of Dussehra reminds us that we should burn the wrongs of our minds with the devotion to God.

Sharad Poornima is extremely auspicious for the devotees of Krishna, because it was on this full moon night of October, five thousand years ago, that their beloved Lord revealed the glory of selfless Divine love to the world by performing the Divine dance, maharaas, with the Gopis.

Also on the full-moon night of Sharad Poornima in October, 1922, in the village of Mangarh, near the city of Allahabad in India, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj (whom we lovingly call Shri Maharajji) appeared on this earth at midnight.  We will be celebrating the 91st birthday of Shri Maharajji

Triple celebrations; so we will see you there!
