Day 1 of Narad Bhakti Sutra @ Shri Balaji Temple, West Midlands

Day 1 of Narad Bhakti Sutra @ Shri Balaji Temple, West Midlands

Yesterday was the first day of the Narad Bhakti Sutra Series by HH Dr Bageeshwari Devi.  It started with an opening address by the President Shri Balaji Temple,  honourable  Dr  Narayan Rao.    He mentioned that Narad Ji was the foremost acharya of Bhakti and that Narad Bhakti Sutra is one of the most important scriptures of Hinduism in the Bhakti tradition.   Dr Narayan Rao was thrilled that HH Dr Bageeshwari Devi was going to speak on this scripture mentioning that since Respected Didiji practices bhakti herself, she is most qualified to expound on this topic.

HH Dr Bageeshwari Devi then began her talk explaining firstly who Narad ji, including the meaning of his name.  She mentioned that Narad Ji was a partial manifestation of God himself and  was behind all the important Bhakti scriptures such as Ramayan and Shrimad Bhagvatam.  She then started explaining some of the 84 sutras or aphorisms.   A sample of this is available on video if you click this link.

As you can in the video, Respected Didiji is not only explaining the meaning of these profound aphorisms that are full of wisdom but also with the use of practical examples showing us how we can apply this lofty wisdom in daily life.

The talks will be continuing today and for the next two days from 7pm-8.30pm daily at the Balaji Temple Hall, Dudley Road East, Tividale, B69 3EQ
